Davao City

If it's not because of my boss at work, I wouldn't have reached this place..! yeyy! We secretly planned for this trip one weekend in June 2008. It was a rough two and a half-hours plane ride and I was so excited: )

My impressions of the city? I was awed by the wide roads, every streets are clean, the first taxis I saw in different colors, and if you like communing with nature..this is the best place to be. The city is so huge that it offers almost everything that you need with a wide variety of choices from food, transportation, accommodation, night life and a lot more adventure.

Given a very limited time (mere 2 days) to go around the place, we decided to visit the prominent sites in the city: the Crocodile Park, Eden Garden Nature's Park, Jack's Ridge and Paradise Island

Just having fun

This park is full of Pinoy flavors..lovin' it!

Overlooking downtown Davao City..what breathtaking view from the top!

We dined at Jack's Ridge on our first night..there were lots of night life experiences there and you can see from the top the view of downtown Davao at night.

Barge transfer to Samal Island, just a 5 minute sea drive from the city.

Just across the road from where we bought souvenirs lies the Ateneo de Davao University
Then we visited the Shrine of Sto. Nino in Davao to give thanks for a nice escapade.

We're supposed to see the country's highest peak, the Mt. Apo, late the next day but the weather was not cooperative at the moment so we just checked out from the hotel and proceeded instead to the airport for our flight back to Manila.

Happy Trip!
