Bohol: Panglao Island Tour on Day 3

Our Bohol vacation will not be complete without a tour around it's island. At the last day of our vacation, we have to rise early for the first activity...the Dolphin and Whale Watching.

To see the dolphins, we had to be in the middle of the sea as early as 6am..had an early breakfast at the resort and didn't waste more time..

Many spectators are waiting for the dolphins along the ocean

and finally we saw them! the baby dolphins between the two boats!!see?

After 30 minutes, we head on to Balicasag Island for the snorkeling activity..

Manong, the snorkel guide, he got tired so he left his tourist clients snorkeling by themselves hahaha!

These mid-age foreigners are havin' fun paddling along the sea

Our last stop is the long stretch of sand bar at Virgin Island..there are no cottages, nor resorts and residences in this island. That's why it's called virgin, what you see is what you get! The sand is white and fine and the water is so clean. We swam, had some picnic snacks and more photo shoots: )

Going back to Dumaluan beach, this view of Bohol Beach Club was taken from our boat.

And we call it all a day! After lunch, we checked out from our resort and head back to Tagbilaran port to Cebu for our flight back to Manila.

Bohol: Country Side Tour on Day 2

Because I planned the trip 6 months in advanced, I was able to get a promo ferry ticket (Cebu-Tagbilaran) from Oceanjet for our whole family. Instead of the regular return trip fare of P800 per person, we were able to get the per person ticket at P400 each (a reasonable 50%) for a peak season like summer. The ferry ride was roughly 2 hours, with free movie on board. We reached the port of Tagbilaran at exactly 5pm, had dinner at Gerry's Grill then head straight to our accommodation..the Whites and Greens Resort, a beachfront resort in the long island of Dumaluan beach, just beside the Dumaluan Beach Resort and a few walks to the Bohol Beach Club.

my family arriving at Tagbilaran port..they are all so happy and excited!

Mom poses at our family cabana, equipped with two airconditioned rooms, cr, dining hall, sala and veranda.

Below is WAG's pool and spa area

Witnessing the sun rise at Dumaluan beach..with siblings at the shore

Ready for our Countryside Tour, nissan urvan c/o the famous tour guide Kuya Tatsky. Our first stop..Bohol Bee Farm, owned by a Filipina Chef Vicky Wallace. The farm located in Panglao Island offers a very relaxing and cozy atmosphere which makes us wanna stay more if we just didn't have a tour that day.

We had a guided tour around the farm, tasted and bought some organically made delicacies and had a taste of the farm's famous original Ice Cream combis.

There are a thousand of cultured bees in the farm, it is said that these bees can cure diseases by making one sting to a person's body part, dad and mom each tried one sting haha!

Dad and mom said.."ARAY!!!" hahaha!

Fearless with the bees..my first close encounter with the fiercest creatures

The farm also offers livelihood opportunities to the locals thru these craft factory. shown above are the ladies on hand their native crafts.

The farm has an Ice Cream corner that has several organic flavors, one is free to choose two combinations at a very affordable price.

Our souvenir picture at the farm's cozy lobby

Next stop..the Hinagdanan Cave.

my apparition pose...

on the cave's little portal

We dropped by the Baclayon Church, the oldest baroque church in Bohol to offer prayers for our safe trip. Though the church's exterior looks rather plain, it's inside, on the other hand, looks very lavish inspired by the influence of the Spaniards who conquered the country in the 15th century and established the Roman Catholic religion in the community.

Time to have a river cruise at Loboc River with a buffet lunch..we booked at the Riverwatch Floating Resto at P400 per pax

.

The boat serves native dishes..it's worth all the penny we paid for!

and the stage mom went down the floating stage to have this shot..haha!

Few drive from the Loboc River is the Tarsier Sanctuary..

Important reminder before we took photos is to turn off the flash..the tarsiers are very sensitive little creatures and have a very short life spans. The camera flashes give them too much stress and stress-related incidents decreases their life expectancy by a year. They are also very delicate due to their soft tissues and considerable small size so touching them is discouraged.

Before heading to the most awaited part of the tour, we dropped by the Butterfly Conservation Center.

Then our last stop..the Chocolate Hills! I am always awed by this wonderful creation of God, though it's my 5th time to be here..

On our way back to the resort, I requested to have a photo taken from this place..Tagbilaran's pride the Bilar's Man-Made Forest

We also had a short glance of this Ship-Inspired House once featured in Korina Sanchez Sunday show Rated K

And we finally call it a day!

Happy Trip!
