Cebu: Heritage Tour on Day 1

It's actually my 5th time in Cebu but my first time to blog...though I've been here many times, I think this is the most exciting trip I ever had because I'm with my whole family this time. It's our mother's day and birthday treat to our mom who celebrates her 63rd year on May 5, 2011.

I planned for this 3 days and 2 nights Visayas tour and luckily got the lowest promo from Cebu Pacificpoint of entry and exit is Cebu City. Day 1:Cebu City Tour, Day 2 and 3: Bohol Countryside and Island Tours.

Our time of arrival in Cebu..6am. We hired a grandia van that will tour us around the city.

Our first stop from Mactan Airport is the Lapu Lapu Shrine in Mactan.

Along the way is the Guitar Factory and Museum

Cebu City is prominent in the guitar-making business..the guitars shown below are high-end guitars that are export quality.

Then we head straight to the Sto.Nino Cathedral to attend the 9am mass. Beside the Cathedral you will find the Cross of Magellan.

We ate downtown Cebu before we continued with our itinerary..next stop is the Taoist Temple in Beverly Hills Cebu.

The sun is shining so bright..as seen on the pic

Our last stop before heading to Cebu Port is the oldest heritage site in Cebu the Fort San Pedro.

Inside the fort lies the Historical Park..and I managed to have this shot!

Found just walking distance from the fort is the Malacanang of the South.

Then we were dropped at Cebu port for our sea transfer to Tagbilaran where we'll gonna spend the night and our 2 days vacation.

Happy Trip!
