Hongkong: Exploring the City on Day 3

Central Station - Victoria Peak

Day 3 and our great quest is TIME! Given a very limited time, we want to reach and see the best places in our destinations. We checked out early from our hostel to savour the remaining hours left in HK. First stop is the the Chater Garden, a few walks away from the MTR Central Station.

We met some Overseas Filipino Workers, assembling on the corridors of the park. Some were holding group prayer meetings, some were just spending their most convenient time away from the usual work and duties and a few were still trying to earn a living by selling stuff like food, accessories, etc.

Way going to the Peak Tram..We brought along our things because we were bound to Macau Ferry Terminal after our Victoria Peak tour.

We passed by St. John's Cathedral, a catholic church in the city and saw many Pinoys attending the mass

Arriving at the Peak Tram

Took some souvenir pic at the ground floor lobby..the place is surrounded with a vintage atmosphere..Their hand painted furniture and the chic and fitsch facade displays provided insightful information about the beginnings of the tram until the present time.

We had the time of our life on board an oldest funicular tram..another first time to experience as we rise up a steep hill about more than 1000 feet above sea level that all the buildings we pass by seems to be leaning a gradient of about 25 degrees..what a stunning view! The ride was a short 7 minutes fabulous unforgettable trip I must say!

Got to have some snap at the vista lobby..

The Peak is not just about the unforgettable tram ride and stunning views..we also found inside an array of souvenir and shopping centers, dining shops, flourished by a wok-like Peak Tower, and the topmost part is the Skyway Terrace which offered a flabbergasting 360-degree panoramic view of Hongkong.

I believe we are now standing at a terrace of 428 metres above sea level, from what I saw on the info on the entrance lobby..that's why it is called Sky Terrace 428 : )

The cutest siblings I met at the terrace!

relax and relax..the setting at the top is a good place to start soul-searching: >

This was the wok-like tower I was talking about a while ago..

And we ate our lunch in an Italian restaurant at the Peak Gallery choosing a scenic spot for a different viewing experience while dining.

We're going down this time..unexpectedly not knowing that our seating position will be just the same as the way we went up! Imagine how that went though..we got so eccentric!

At exactly 12noon, we head on, ride a cab to the Macau Ferry Terminal..excitedly ready for our next destination! yeyyy!!

Happy Trip!
