Sleepless in Malaysia: Ribbon Stayyz Guesthouse

I know right..it's been a long time since I  last visited this blog. And I have to admit, I've been so preoccupied finishing this other one http://hazetiestheknot.blogspot.com/

And now that I'm in a new phase in my life as a married woman..so now it's about time I spend my escapade years with my partner in life and I'm so delighted to start it in the wonderful city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I luckily got two Piso-fare tickets from Cebu Pacific as early as January of 2012.  For a cost of P1,900 for two, me and hubby arrived excitedly at KL Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) on the 11th of December 2012, two days after our wedding, at exactly 5:40 in the afternoon. The sun is still shining so brightly though it's a little bit cloudy.

Upon passing the Immigration Line, immediately we proceeded to the Skybus counter to buy tickets which cost RM8 each to KL Sentral. In KL Sentral, you can find all transport guide and system in almost all over Kuala Lumpur. Honestly, I've been to this city way back in 2009 and saw how well KL developed into a more organized and lovely city...the Philippines has a way way far more to go (sadly speaking).

The bus ride took us also an hour to reach KL Sentral, afterwhich we took another LRT ride to Pasar Seni Station where our hostel is just a walking-distance away. We're starting our itinerary the next day, so we spent the night strolling nearby places in Chinatown, eat dinner and have a goodnight sleep.

We stayed at Ribbon Stayyz Guesthouse in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur. After thorough researching of different affordable guesthouses nearby Chinatown, we finally decided to book Ribbon Stayyz for several reasons:

1. The owner Ms. Loo seems very friendly and so fast to answer our every queries thru email which turned out just the way she is in person, by the way. Of course, the crew always welcomes you with cheerful smiles and greetings every time you walk their way.

background behind us are souvenir pastel art paintings of Ribbon Stayyz guests..

2. For a cost of RM60 per room per night made it a very decent place to stay and have a goodnight sleep for backpackers like us.

3. Intercontinental breakfast which includes toast with butter and jam for as many as you want and unlimited coffee/hot chocolate or tea at the lobby is worth a hundred bucks savings if you're really on a tight budget.

4. The place is just a walk away to Pasar Seni LRT Station, Pudu Sentral (about 3 minutes), in front of Kota Raya Mall, and the Petalling Street (if you're into night shopping and food trippin'). We get to almost all places in KL by just riding the LRT in Pasar Seni, this place is very strategic in going around the city if you're just very eager to walk all day.

5. I actually commend this place for its 24-hours hi-speed WIFI, it has its mini library and free tv and dvd if you're damn tired of walking around KL and want to have a cozy place to rest the whole idle day.

To get to this place from LCCT airport:

Ride SKYbus or Aerobus at Platform 2 outside the airport, alight at KL Sentral.
Ride LRT Station to Pasar Seni Station.
You may choose to walk through Petalling  Street until you see Kota Raya Mall,
in front of it is the 7/11 and you will see the Ribbon Stayyz Guesthouse.
From the right, the guesthouse is fronting KK Supermart and below is the KFC fastfood.
