Sidetrip to Singapore

What merely excites me in stepping to Singapore for the 2nd time around is the Universal Studios Singapore. Way back in 2009, the USS was just an undergoing construction as shown below:

But since it's hubby's first time to SG, I served as his tour guide now and I guess that's what makes it more enjoyable this time. We arrived in SG at about 6:40pm aboard Airasia from LCCT, Kuala Lumpur. From Changi Airport, we decided to take regular taxi to Admiralty Woodlands to our cousin's house where we'll be spending the next 4 days for free.

It was roughly an hour ride since Sembawang is at the other far side of the airport. Nevertheless, we enjoyed sight-seeing around SG while I introduce to hubby the wide organized streets and the fabulous lighting and architecture of the buildings around.

We started our tour the next day (our 5th vacation day) using our re-loadable MTR card, starting at Marina Bay Sands, Gardens at the Bay. The view could have been a lot more stunning at night since it was very gloomy the time we arrived at 9:30am and come lunch time it was already raining in Singapore so we spent the wee hours strolling inside Marina Bay Sands.

Next stop is the Resorts World Sentosa, took MRT to Harbourfront station then stop over at Vivo City until the rain stopped falling. We decided to take the Sentosa Boardwalk for 1SGD.

We're supposed to watch the Songs of the Sea but the weather was not really cooperating for its raining very hard come 7pm so we decided to go back to Vivo City and had dinner.

Our 6th day is a whole day splurge at Universal Studios Singapore..Bought our one-day pass at 75SGD each

The last vacation day was spent on a walking tour at Raffles to see the Merlion, the Fullerton Hotel, Esplanade up to the shopping center Orchard Road.
